What Is STIR/SHAKEN Certification, And Why Does It Matter?

What Is STIR/SHAKEN Certification, And Why Does It Matter?  We have all been there at some point. You pick up the incoming call, and you hear, hello – hello? Oh hi! This is <fill in the blank> calling about your automotive warranty…. Yes, the dreaded robocall. The number that called appeared to be local, as did the last several calls.  Eventually, you just stop answering calls that aren't on your contact list. You ask yourself:  “How do they get so many local numbers?”. The reality is these call centers are using...

Web Conferencing Video Quality: 1. Meeting Quality Profiles

Did you know that your meeting video quality is dependent on many factors? One side of it is the hardware you’re using, from the webcam to the microphone. Lighting and specifically the brightness of the room also makes a huge difference in your image quality. Remember, a webcam is not a 1000$ DSLR camera. On the other hand, the quality of your internet connection is also extremely important, if not more important than the hardware aspect in some cases. An unstable internet...

V18 to Simplify DNS Config. with its DNS Helper

Until now, 3CX has required the use of both a local and external IP in the case of unmanaged networks. This will simplify the way admins provision endpoints (e.g. IP Phones and 3CX apps), and the way users can access the web client and video conferencing. Your 3CX FQDN will be automatically configured like this, you won’t have to...
